Ron Wood Counseling Center

Ron Wood Family Resource Center is committed toward assisting our community with the gaps in services that impact children and families. Our vision is to offer low-cost or no cost mental health services to the children and their families in our community.

  • Counseling Center now accepting appointments

  • Services will be available to youth ages 5 – 18 years of age and their families

  • Clinical and Psycho-Educational services will be provided by LCSW Interns under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor

  • Flexible hours will offer service availability after school and in the evenings

  • No child will be refused services due to lack of financial support

  • Assessment services will be available under scholarship funding from a private donor

  • Wrap-around services will accompany the needs of each individual family

What are the clinic days and hours of operation?

We are open for business 3 – 5 days per week with evening options for appointments.

What is your targeted population?

Our focus is primarily children 5 years to 18 years and we will work with the parents, guardians and caregivers on a family-centered treatment approach.

What is the cost for treatment?

We will be offering FREE services for the first 3 – 6 months until our insurance is in place.  Families should be prepared to provide their insurance information at the first intake appointment.  Services will be provided FREE until their insurance is billed.

What are the insurances that you will be taking?

  • UMR – United Medical Resources

  • Other insurances to be determined

What if the family does not have insurance once you begin taking insurance?

We have grant options.  Children without insurance can take advantage of FREE services through grants:

  • Department of Education – Trauma Recovery Grant – this grant pays for treatment for children that are low to moderate income.

  • State and Federal grants – we have additional funding sources that your child and family may be eligible to utilize.
